You can review holidays. You can review books. You can review restaurants, products and places. You can even review your doctor. So it only makes sense that people are now able to review something that is truly important. Beer.
Through independent reviews and other user-generated content, PerfectPints.com helps you to find the perfect beer wherever you are in the world (provided someone has been there before you to review it of course) and share your own personal favourites.
Founder Justin Knecht became obsessed with finding the perfect pint of Guinness after relocating to the west coast of Ireland.
“Everyone was so passionate about where to go to get the local perfect pint.” says Knecht. “It was never about creating an exhaustive directory of pubs, but being able to easily see
As you’d expect, the company is at work on a mobile app version so you can find a perfect pint when you’re on the move and even spot other users – ‘perfectionists’ in the site’s lingo.
And in a possible nod towards monetisation, there’s also some chat about being able to buy a round via your mobile phone. The site currently makes money through t-shirt sales.
I expect we’ll have to wait for the mobile app before this one really takes off – and some partnerships with big brands would seem like a logical step – but if nothing else it’s given me a great excuse for some ‘research’.
