Square is one of those business ideas where a picture is enough to tell the story – well, almost.
As you’ve probably guessed, Square is an app that allows retailers to accept credit card payments with their iPhone. Customers simply swipe their cards, can sign using a stylus directly on the screen and are issued with a receipt via text or email.
You can also create a user account with Square so that retailers can visually identify you (and every transaction on your card) with a snazzy little head shot of you that pops up on their screen.
For businesses, it’s not only convenient to use (and very cool) but also contract free and has no monthly fee. A great solution to what is often a painful process for small retailers.
