Everybody loves a good pizza – of course, not all pizza places are made equally.
Pizzashare is a site that makes it easy to highlight your favorite pizza places and fine new ones in cities and towns across America.
The site uses Google Maps to make searching for new places simple. It’s pretty basic at the moment but we can imagine the site will eventually allow people to write reviews of their favorite places too.
OK, so it’s a simple idea but what else could you do with it?
One obvious idea would be to create a site for other countries. Another option would be to ask what other products and services would suit a similar treatment – other food businesses, bars, nightclubs, tourist attractions? Finally, how would you monetize the site – local advertising, paid placement?

I love the independent pizza places. Each one is a little bit different and offers something unique. This is a great tool to find these places.
As you say, it’s a good basic site.
It’s a great idea to change the size of the target depending on how many people recommend it, and linking that to Google maps must be a real bonus especially in major cities. However, I do think they need to add reviews to give some extra usability to the site. It really lacks something without that.
But the best thing they could do with it? Branch out to the UK – I really like a good Pizza!
