If studying for exams was never your thing (or isn’t your thing for our younger readers) then anything that could’ve made the process simpler would’ve been a good idea.
Unfortunately, the last time I took an exam Google was a fledgling startup – and there certainly was no Knetwit.
Knetwit.com is a network that allows students to share notes and form study groups based on class topics. For example, you could start a Calculus II study group for your college – if you were so inclined.
What’s more, you can also earn ‘Koin’ for uploading your notes or inviting others to join as well – which can then be spent in the Knetwit store (funded through advertising revenues).
Social tools, live study group chat and user ratings all add to the community feel - something that has no doubt help attract the 50,000 sets of notes from 700 schools that have been uploaded in a little over 3 months since their launch (as of Dec 08).
Although the majority of the press coverage and the site itself seem to focus largely on the ‘get paid for notes’ angle, we also like the look of the study group model.
It’s also the aspect that’s probably most applicable to other business ventures too – from group training courses to peer-to-peer business development sessions.
