Toddle: Beautifully Simple Email Newsletters

by Mark Nagurski

in Technology

Almost more often than not, technology is designed for what it can do rather than what we need it to do. Bringing technology and elegant usability together often results in great businesses.

Case in point, email newsletter service Toddle from Irish design company Spoit Child.

To create an account on Toddle you simply enter your email address. You’re then given a choice of well-crafted html email templates to choose from. Pick the one you like and edit the text, logo, pics and sender details using the idiot-proof editor.

Once you’re done, click send and Toddle sends the customized email directly to your email address – you can then send it on to whomever you like. (There’s also an advanced option to use a mass email service if you prefer). Each email you create costs 1 credit (€6) and you get the first 3 credits free.

By using software that people are already familiar with Toddle is incredibly easy to use – unlike many email newsletter services.

Simple, elegant and stylish – what technology should be.

Which begs the question: What over-complicated processes could you simplify? How could great design and improved usability change your industry?
